An Introduction

 Hello everyone,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Scott Zimmer and I recently retired from the US Border Patrol after 26.5 years of service. I was stationed in San Diego, California at the Brown Field Station for my whole career but worked at seven other stations during my career. I started with the US Border Patrol on 7/29/1996 under the Clinton administration. Throughout my career, I did numerous details to help train and improve the fine Agents of the USBP. I was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent on 7/22/2007 a role I held until my retirement on 12/31/2022.

Enough about me though, I am here to help the American public understand just how illegal immigration impacts EVERYONES lives even if you do not live in a border town. The impacts of illegal immigration are far reaching and will impact this great country of ours for generations to come. The Biden administration has completely opened the border despite what they claim on TV and what you hear being parroted by the mainstream media.  The number or people being allowed into this country is simply mind boggling when you look at the bigger picture. Current estimates put the amount of illegal aliens allowed to enter the United States during the first three years of the Biden administration is equivalent to the population of Tennessee. Tennessee has a current population of seven million people. Can you imagine adding the population of Tennessee every three years? Can you imagine the strain that puts on the American infrastructure? Future blogs will delve deeper into the impacts on our society.

There are a lot of misconceptions of just what the role of the U.S. Border Patrol is. I hope to clear those misconceptions up. I encourage you to ask questions to help further improve your knowledge about a topic that will have a fundamental effect of the fabric of the U.S. society.

As Sir Francis Bacon stated in 1597, "Knowledge itself is power". I truly believe truer words have never been spoken.

I look forward to hearing from you and joining me on this journey through the Immigration crisis.
